Michael O’Brien – PT, DPT
Mike was born and raised in St. Mary’s County. Mike is happily married with four wonderful children. Mike began playing soccer when he was four years old, and he continues to coach his children in youth athletics. It was Mike’s love of soccer that inspired him to become a physical therapist due to his own knee pain. Mike graduated with his Master of Science degree from Ithaca College and later received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. Mike enjoys the freedom to treat all of our patients as friends and develop life-long relationships with them. Mike has a special interest in sports medicine and sports performance enhancement. With over 20 years of experience, Mike continues to enjoy learning and implementing new techniques to allow you to achieve all of your physical therapy goals.
Lisa Mesmer – PT
Lisa Mesmer is a licensed Maryland Physical Therapist with Bachelor of Science degrees in Kinesiology and Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, respectively. She has been practicing physical therapy for over 26 years with diverse clinical experiences including in/outpatient, acute/subacute rehabilitation, pediatrics and home health care. She has spent the past 10 years working in orthopedic rehabilitation, completing additional training regarding cervical/lumbar spine pain, shoulder, knee and total joint replacement rehabilitation. She is currently completing coursework to become a Sports Certified Specialist. Lisa utilizes a variety of hands-on techniques integrated with movement re-education to get you moving and feeling better.
